The Authentic Taste of Switzerland

The Authentic Taste of Switzerland is a hands-on cooking class at Culinarium Alpinum, set in a former Capuchin monastery in Stans, around 20 minutes from Lucerne. The course focuses on authentic Swiss home cooking, regional flavours and seasonal ingredients.

Together with the professional kitchen team, participants prepare traditional Swiss specialities and learn both culinary techniques and the stories behind Swiss food culture. The menu includes crispy rösti, Nidwalden-style sliced veal with apples and walnuts, and the classic dessert Gebrannte Crème. A vegetarian menu is available.

After cooking, guests enjoy their creations together with three seasonal starters. The course is led by Beda Röthlisberger, sous chef at Culinarium Alpinum.

The price of CHF 150 per person includes a welcome drink, the cooking class, recipes, a 3-course meal, water, juices, beer and wine.
